Updated Tuesday September 12, 2017 by Steve Severn.

12U Sage Keelen: First Responders Cup Tournament, Arlington, VA.

Beating some of the very best teams in Virginia , the Sage 12u reached the FRC Tournament finals before losing to a Class A, franchised team, the Lady Lightning from Fairfax, VA. On their way to the finals and overcoming injuries to key players, the Sage won game after game against the strongest opponents this area can offer including the Vienna Stars, Fielders Choice, Virginia Stars and the VA Glory. The undisputed underdog in this field of elite teams emerged through sheer force of will and skill to represent Arlington Sage softball in the championship game. All of AGSA is proud of their accomplishments on this weekend filled with rememberances of the heroic events of 911.

18U Sage-Kelly: Free State Fall Open, Laurel, MD

Our high school girls went 5-0 over the weekend in reaching the Tournament championship game on Sunday losing a hard fought contest with the Northern Calvery Fury, a team that they had defeated on Saturday. This was their first tournament of the new fall season and exemplifies the hard work they have put in since forming only a few rain-shortened weeks ago. Way to go ladies, you make us proud!
